We're having fantastic support from insurance companies. Most notably KGM and Markerstudy. They are holding cover and sending renewal letters for us. Any body getting alike services from any other insurance companies?

Well done for setting this forum up, great idea. I'm worried this issue is going to continue well into next week. It would appear they have a major problem. My biggest worry is that they have lost our data. If and when we get back online are SSP going to compensate us? I am going to have to pay my staff overtime just to clear the backlog. We have also turned away numerous new business enquiries. Does anyone know what the service agreement states SSP will do in such a situation? With regards to moving to another supplier I'm sure there are plenty of brokers thinking about this. After changing from M3 to Pure I'm not sure I'd want to go through another software change, that said I am losing patience and confidence in SSP.

Hi,
No you will not lose your data, I spoke to my account manager and our data has not been lost.
Just been a farce restoring it. The lack of updates from ssp with specific details is causing panic and confusion.

Hi there!
With regards to cover, insurers have been good with us for MTAs etc, loss of new business is more the concern. Plus I really dont trust them with the whole MIB and FCA updated, I am just awaiting one of our clients as roadside stopped by the police.
Does anyone here like the Pure system as it is?

JUST TRANSFER US TO THE SECOND DATA CENTRE. THE ONE OUR CONTRACT REFERS TO.

Don't want to cause panic, but the conflicting messages, setbacks, no second data centre recovery, and self gratifying updates can only mean one thing......THEY'VE CATASTROPHICALLY BALLSED UP!!!
There is way too much evidence towards this hypothesis, and little, other than their word, to repudiate it!

We are not overly impressed with Pure, we much preferred M3. We have found Pure to be very slow and it is much more complicated than we need. We have been told by our account manager that all SSP Users will be switched to a new server next year. I appreciate that technology has to move on but I don't think Pure is an improvement on M3.

Happy to hear that our data is safe but the information is minimal as to what to do following this unprecedented event.
We've spoken to the following insurance companies KGM Markerstudy Aviva Allianz Axa
They are going to provide us with full client information for September renewals via e-mail some time today. Hopefully we can contact them and advise that they will be renewed and held on cover -but unable to give them prices.
What's everyone else doing regarding renewals, new business? We'll post any helpful information we can today as we figure out what to do going forward without the system.
Please feel free to share as much information as possible as we will all benefit going forward by sharing ideas.
Thanking you kindly!

I have concerns that SSP have yet to give any assurances that Data has not been compromised. Does anyone else feel this is strange given the circumstances?

Tbh, all their emails have been very vague in my opinion, the updates they give I dont fully believe. For example on 30/08 18:47 they said they was unable to restore the servers by close of play, then the next morning they said they had been working through the night. Which is it?
There is definitely something deeper going on here that we are not aware of.

We left SSP earlier this year, I have to say we lost confidence in SSP completely - the slow speeds mentioned above were infuriating and a promised move to a new datacentre'Powergate' with new citrix environment etc was promised as a holy grail. Was meant to be implemented by June 2015 - still not in place as they kept finding issues. Was the final straw for us. Moving has been hard (not helped by further SSP incompetence) but ultimately worth it.
